I have made three journeys to Cuba. These were all before President Obama relaxed the US treasury Departments restrictions on travel there. Until recently, the 57 year old embargo meant that few Americans could find their way to Cuba. Everywhere I've been on the island, I would be greeted in doorways with a welcome and a curiosity and sometimes a bottle cap of Rum. These photographs are selected from those threshold moments.
